Remember, Remember the 3rd and 4th of November!

We've got an October with a few shows squeezed in here, all great line-ups that we just could not say no to being a part of. Check our "SHOWS" section for details on any of those. This post in particular is simply to let you know that we've got some important details regarding our two November shows. As you can see to your right, The Rock the Revolution Tour 2012 is on for AZ! Captain Squeegee has joined the bill, Voice PHX is going to bust out for us, and our touring buddies in Per Capita, KRS-One, and Rise, Consise & Krookid will be showing up in the tour bus! We'd love this event to inspire people, even if just to pay attention to the elections and what their leaders are doing in trying to get into office. Venue 104, a new place in Tempe neighboring ASU, has been kind enough to let us hold the concert there. Looking very forward to this!

In addition, the very next night is a very special night for us. Last year, on this very weekend, our friend Becky held a birthday show at the Rogue Bar at which she asked all the performing bands to play nothing but Beatles' music. We had such a great time learning the songs and playing with the other bands that Becky suggested we make it an annual event. So, we present you with the 2nd Annual Beatles Tribute Night at the Rogue Bar! The fun thing about the Beatles shows is that each group performs music from one album each. This year Sun Ghost will perform Abbey Road in its entirety. They will be joined by Japhy's Descent (performing Magical Mystery Tour), Future Loves Past (performing Rubber Soul), 88MPH (performing Revolver), and The Van Jacks (performing White Album). Just a warning, Beatles night was literally one of the best times I've ever had at the Rogue Bar, so look out. Here is the Facebook event page for it! See you folks soon!

Don't Get Sad, Get Down

Cripes, it's been a busy summer for us. We've been doing a lot of writing and recording - to the point where if you haven't caught a live show since the release of our debut album earlier this year, you may not recognize us if you heard us now. Our second album is well in the works with a good chunk of the recording done. One thing we can say so far is that we are really proud of what we've pulled out this time.
Love, Hurt & Paradox was generally a half-hour-long frustrated audio love letter. For this album, we've tuned into more substantial matters of human society and philosophy, along with adjusting the way we write music. You will hear keyboard in every song - in fact, most of the songs are mainly driven by keyboard parts. We tapped deeper into our own personal influences which, assembled as one sound, resulted in something we feel is both unique and high quality.

If you've not joined us at a show around town, please consider coming out. We'd love to spend time around as many like-minded people as possible. We love to play, and that's it.

Other than recording, we've spent the summer acquiring and fixing our new friend, Vincent Van Ghost, which will make its maiden voyage across state lines this weekend on our trip to play in LA. Decorations are sure to adorn the outer surfaces in no time - do you have any ideas?

Follow more closely by subscribing to our RSS feed to be notified of new posts.. we will keep all our shows current through this website, usually with links to appropriate Facebook event pages and whatnot. Please, let's keep on this adventure together!

From zero to sixty inOHMYGOD

So, we're wrapping up our recording/adventuring break. Can I just say - the album is sounding amazing. I don't know what happened. We may have lost our minds, but I think the results are going to be totally worth it.

We've got a string of Fall shows we're going to play during October, and then we'll take the bulk of November and December to (hopefully) finish up tracking the album. But onward, to the shows! Click the links to be taken to the FB event page for each.
